What Does Our PTA Do, Exactly? Our PTA prides itself on giving back to our school community. We sponsor/produce events such as Fall Festival,
Muffins with Mom, Doughnuts with Dad, Breakfast with Santa, Winter & End of year parties, Spring Event, Back to School Popsicle Party, Kindergarten
Yahoo/Boo Hoo Breakfast, Veteran’s Day Reception, 4th grade graduation, and the TCHS Senior Breakfast. During the 2018-2019 school year we
provided a FREE spirit shirt to every student and staff member, PAW PRIDE medals to the students who earned them every 6 weeks, flexible seating
options for classrooms, assisted with purchasing new technology for the classrooms, installed new sensory paths in hallways, provided field trip
scholarships for students who would otherwise not be able to attend, and provided teacher grants for classroom supplies and conferences.
Who Can Join? EVERYONE!!! We encourage parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, and community members to become PTA members. By becoming a member, you are advocating for your children’s education on a local, state, and national level. A member can vote at any of our general meetings throughout the year. Registering as a PTA Member is NOT a commitment to volunteering, although if you are interested in volunteering we have plenty of opportunities!
Who Else Can Join? YOUR STUDENT! Our students are the reason for everything we do, so we are incredibly excited to offer a brand-new opportunity for students who wish to have their voices heard and learn important leadership skills. We will offer after school workshops over the course of the school year, including inspiring guest speakers and a brainstorming session where students can provide us with their ideas for future programming, as well as give us feedback on what we’ve done so far. These workshops will ONLY be open to students who are registered, dues-paid PTA members so be sure to include them when you register yourself.
